Thank you for thought provoking comments. I agree with you. In addition to what you have mentioned, if one truly looks at the common characteristics of dictators, this is what they would find: Those with a dictatorship mentality feel that they never have to answer to anyone for their actions or mis-actions, they promise sweeping changes, they put loyalists (often friends or family) in positions of power, and they show little to no regard for their countries laws and/or constitution. They desire power and authority above all else, while giving lip-service to the masses.
Marx would call the two previous responders 'useful idiots'.
What you mentioned about Obama are indisputable facts. My question to others then is why does it not matter?
Obama wants to now have total power over whether or not to raise the debt ceiling, which by the way is unconstitutional and continues to decrease the value of our dollar...why does this not matter?
There is so much mis-information coming out of the WH about Bengazi...seemingly a coverup...why does this not matter? If we learn of a President misleading the American people for the benefit of his re-election, he should be impeached.
Obama has shown no desire to compromise with respect to our fiscal calamity...why does this not matter? He seems hell-bent on just destroying the republican party while holding those in need hostage...why does this not matter? In other words, it is more important to Obama to diminish the republican party for the future of the democrats rather than work together with the GOP to solve our fiscal mess first and foremost...why does this not matter?
Prior to his first election, Obama's message of hope and change was so different than what he actually accomplished in is first term...why does this not matter?
Obama's tax and spend philosophy has failed, yet here we go again...why does this not matter?
I believe that things will get worse during the next four years and I agree with you that the 'useful idiots' will be too slow to realize just how bad things are getting...in part due to their stubborn pride.
Now, am I black or am I white; am I female or am I male; or am I simply a concerned American?

My personal feelings for the President are irrelevant. It was the person feelings of others which I was actually addressing. You should not let your emotions blind you to the truth, or your personal feeling about someone cloud your judgement.

Also, I wrote this prior to his election. He was not the President and I could not have been disrespectful to the office in reference to him since he did not hold it at that time. We agree race does have nothing to do with it, which is why I made no mention of what race Obama is.

Your analogy STINKS. Using the President of the United States as a character in this analogy is unnessary. It displays your personal dislike of the President of the United States; is downright disrepectful; and unpatriotic to the office of the United States of America. The means by which President Obama came into office were not manipulation, arroganance, charisma or the chanting of a hopeful message. There is a difference between offering hope and manipulating the masses for personal gain which is how a dictator comes to power. Thank you for your view on this matter, it has only opened my eyes to the real answer to this question. There are a bunch of idiots like you who post garbage, plain garbage and are probably so weak that you might be overtaken by a tyrant. Race has nothing to do with it, your disrepect for the President of the United States is appalling.

The Jokerr is a talented dude but he's wasted his time with trying to one up cats like Grewsum and pretend he's not a complete bite of Tech N9ne and ICP so no one really gives a shit in the end if he exists or not. He could quit tomorrow and no one would care. That could be said about a lot of us, but if the kid would just focus his skills on making bigger moves instead of crying about Hopsin or Grewsum or trolling in general, he could be something.

What a spectacular piece! Wow! I can feel that it comes from the heart. If I am free I am free to offer genuine praise where it is deserved.

I am going to open a meeting next week with that piece. I'll try not to get emotional and choked up as I read it.

Thanks. You ARE free!!

I guess you missed the point. I didn't say he was a dictator, I was just explaining a failure on the part of the media to inform the general populous can allow for people to come into power without everyone really knowing who he is. So, for instance we ask how such and such could be allowed to come into power, and the answer can be as simple as people didn't know.

As far as smoking, it isn't that he smokes (although the left really tends to demonize smoking but won't dare mention Obama smoking), it's that most people were not aware. Same goes for the amount of time he spent being raised outside of the United States. I mean, at one point his ambition was to be president of Indonesia. I wonder how many Americans are aware of that?

As far as you inferring racism, congrats on that, obviously my issue with Obama is his race. You don't know what race I am, you know virtually nothing about me but obviously I don't like Obama because of his race, right? That's such pathetic idiocy. Let's put aside the fact that I'm taken more time on this site to praise black people than to demean them, the notion that anyone who dislikes Obama is racist, is in and of itself prejudiced! There's nothing more non-racist, nothing more pro-equality than the ability to judge a person on their merit rather than their race. You're the one making an issue of his race... and I'm tired of racist people being unaware that they are. We could do nothing more beneficial to people of all races than to treat them as we would anyone else, including voicing our disagreement. If you treat people differently, pro or con, because of their race than that makes you the racist.

First, let's be clear on something. ICP is the sun in which an entire sub-genre of hip-hop orbits around. Their total worldwide sales are around 10 million, and strictly as independent artists they have sold over two million albums. The irony is that album sales are just one aspect. An ICP fan might spend over twice as much on merch as they do on albums. So, if you look at the dark side of hip-hop, it's clear who the central figures are. To be involved in this sub-genre, and act as though the elephant isn't in the room is a little like an early hip-hop artist acting as though they never heard of the Sugarhill Gang.

I don't listen to music much, so I haven't listened much to The Jokerr, but let's consider what I got from first glance. Thematically, he entered into similar territory as ICP. Coincidentally, he's white. He wears makeup... ok, yeah those a big coincidences considering you could round up 100 rappers and unless a self proclaimed juggalo is in the mix you're unlikely to find that combination. But, from what I listened to, he was stylistically similar to ICP.

Now, he's definitely got a medieval faire quality going on, but then again ICP mentions the Dark Carnival over and over so, I'm not sure who gets the most nerd points in that regard. As far as that goes though, hip-hop has gone soft. ICP was always a laughing stock, but they embraced it fully. I don't see any other way of responding to The Jokerr's gimmick without thinking it was an attempt to break out of the box that most talented, but unknown rappers find themselves in. The hostility for juggalo rappers is more telling than anything else, I've seen numerous closet juggalos try that to cover their tracks.

It's a waste to me though. There was no need for his gimmick to be that over the top, there was no need to go that far into the whole cosplay, nerdy outcast, Assassin's Creed (by the way I saw someone trying to sell a Altair costume on craigslist, he might want) thing. In terms of ability he's better than ICP. His level of polish and professionalism is stellar. I have been eternally frustrated by the half-assed nature of a lot of artists. They might do something well and then find a way to screw it up by doing something else half-assed.

He's just so damn silly (another ICP similarity) and there's a lot of immaturity. He's kind of funny, but it's like trying to watch a kids show with good writing. Even if you enjoy aspects of it, there's no getting over the fact that it's for little damn kids! If this guy had just dialed things back a little, had he taken a more subtle, less literal approach I think I'd be placing him up there with the elites. I'm amazed and somewhat perplexed by his level of quality. This guy puts out a diss track (which by the way, a guy in a jester's outfit has a lot of trouble pulling off) with a video that outdoes 99% of the videos put out within the sub-genre. It seems like a monumental waste, but I'm too lazy to look into things further. I'm tempted to try and contact the guy just to try to figure out what his angle really is to be honest.

Oh no, he's a former smoker! That definitely makes him a dictator. And he lived outside the US! Good Lord, how traitorous! To think he may have learned some things about other countries, shame on him. We're all doomed now. An intelligent, hard-working black man who succeeded. He must hate America, otherwise he'd be picking cotton down south where he should be, right? Are you people nuts or just stupid?

to be fair any artist that comes out with a remotely clown-like, carnival/circus gimmick (hell any number of takes on looney, killer gimmicks too) is gonna find no home in the mainstream and, when put to the underground, will inevitably be cornered as juggalo or related. Not their fault that the listeners do that, its one of the biggest underground scenes is all. Cant be helped if thats your thing. And whats wrong with targeting or just nodding towards an already established fan base? not a damn thing, its good business. Hes got skill and deserves credit regardless of how anybody might feel about the tags that WE ourselves push on him.

Actually, it's not holding up all that well. I was reading about these tiny cracks that appear near the speakers and decided to check mine. It has them to. I baby my electronics, and I'm not very happy to see this occur. These tiny cracks are coming from the right and left of each speaker. The interior ones are vertical and one made it to the screen and is loose and sticking out a bit now. The other cracks go right and left respectively and I'm not sure when or where they'll stop. I'm afraid they either keep going or make their way up and a piece of plastic ends up falling off.

I'm not sure if this is more than a cosmetic issue, but it's highly irritating as if this crack didn't already exist prior to shipping (a possibility given that the USB charger came damaged) only a modest amount of pressure could cause these cracks. In other words, the act of holding the device might be enough to crack the plastic around the speakers as it's basically just a hole they cut out thing plastic with no housing to strengthen it.

So, I have to figure out how best to resolve this as a return is out of the question and last time I talked to support I had a nice lady that not only could barely speak English but had a habit of repeating what I said in a completely jumbled up manner (she'd switch letters around and stuff).

Having said that, was it worth $100, even in it's current state? Absolutely. However, people that bought this full price or anything over $200 are either unhappy now or will probably be in the future. While a port seems promising, it's not likely to work as well as a fully supported device and the WebOS app store still thinks it's September and probably will for as long as it continues to exist.
